Gear We Love

GEARLOVE

Love is in the air, and we’re reflecting on the important things in life: family, friends, and gear. If you’re looking for something to gift your favorite hiker or yourself, check out the gear we’ve been loving this winter.

This insulated thermos bottle from REI keeps water hot for hours allowing us to enjoy hot chocolate trail side during winter hikes. I was worried about hot water leaking down my back while hiking, but we’ve used it ten times without any issues.

My Ahnu Women’s Sugarpine Hiking Shoes have kept my feet warm and dry through streams and snow. They’re cool in the summer too!

Raina loves her Outdoor Research Women’s Cirque Pants for cold weather hikes. They’re warm without being bulky, and plenty of pockets to hold your chapstick and gloves.

The Black Diamond Cosmo Headlamp is useful for early morning hikes, or for finding your gear at camp after dark.

We love the Black Diamond Trail Walking Poles because they fold up easily, and travel well. They’re sturdy and comfortable to hold. An all around great gift!

If you must give chocolates, may we suggest packaging them in a lovely Nalgene Wide Mouth Bottle?

Reusable sandwich bag, reusable snack bag, ecofriendly, zippered, nylon lined - Popcorn

Or in a reusable snack bag for the kiddos?

To our Mountain Men out there across the country, Happy Valentine’s Day!

Love, Summit Chicks
